Blog Love Omega Glee: If You Keep Heading South Long Enough, Then Eventually You're Going North (12 January 2012)

Jake visits his friend North to watch professional wrestling on television. North's last name is West. He has siblings named South, East, and West. West West? Try not to think too hard about it or your mind will become a weathervane in a tornado. North wears glasses, jeans, thermal underwear, and a t-shirt featuring the wrestler The Plumper Plumber on it ("Your mouth is leaky! Let me shut it up for you!"). Jake sits on the couch. North sits in his favorite chair, a yellow easychair that should have been thrown out years ago. During the commercial, North says, "Dude, I read your blog today."

Jake nods, then gulps and asks, "What'd you think?"

"You're crazy!"

"Ah. man, it's been rough lately. That blog's the only thing I've been looking forward to. Between getting dumped, trying to find a job, and moving back home, it seems like I'm on a long downward spiral . . ."

"Dude, what are you talking about?"

"Huh?"

"I said you're crazy because you wrote today that The Waffle Warrior was going to be the next champion, and they never let gimmick guys become champs. I like that you're doing a blog."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks, man. I'm always a little nervous what people think about it."

"Well, you can't be too nervous."

"Why's that?"

"You came out of the closet about being a wrestling fan. That takes some guts. A lot of people hide their rasslin' jones."

"True. I did for a time. The whole time I was dating Jackson, I tried to hide it."

"Well, not being yourself was your first mistake. Your second was dating a chick with a dude's name."

"I ought to put you in the figure four leglock for that crack."

"Shush! It's back on. Don't worry about the way things are going in your life either. Think of geography: if you keeping heading south long enough, eventually you'll be going north."
